Genea justification behind why she turned me in to the authorities

This video, extracted from the Dateline NBC program, is dated October 12, 2018. Shane Bishop, the Dateline NBC producer, kept Genea’s interview a secret from me right up until the program aired. I was quite surprised to see her come out of the shadows after her first TV appearance on America’s Most Wanted where her face was blacked out.

But I’m sure it wasn’t too difficult for Shane to convince her once he told her about this website and the book, which contains four chapters about our relationship, what really happened during her all-expense paid trip to Japan, and why she eventually turned me in.

You have to appreciate the smirk on Keith Morrison’s face as he asks her about why she didn’t turn me in as soon as I told her about my past. I mean, if she was so worried, then why still go to Japan with me and have sex right up until the last day of our vacation? Perhaps Genea is not as truthful as she tries to appear. Shane read the book before it was published, so I’m sure he had a good laugh while Genea back-peddled during their interview, trying to justify herself.

Let’s just say that her recollection of the events, and what actually happened during the few months we were dating, is quite the contrast to what I remember. But perhaps that is all because of the time lapse—I wrote the book when she turned me in; she did the interview 10 years later. It's amazing how things change in your mind over the years just so you sound more credible... :)
